Our executive protection officer or close protection officer (CPO) has specialized training and tools designed to provideprotective security. The daily responsibilities  and duties of close personal protection can vary significantly, especially depending on the contract that controls the relationship and the geographic area of protection. Typically, Our CPO is an executive protection specialist who always has as their main goal the prevention of any sort of loss, damage, injury, or death to the principal. Our primary responsibility is the planning and execution of a strategy for keeping our client and perhaps the client’s family safe and away from harm. As part of these goals, we may also conduct ongoing assessments for risks, threats, and vulnerabilities.

Our role of close protection officer can overlap with a variety of similar responsibilities, including concierge services, driving, event facilitation, liaison with airports, hotels, venues, and staff, and safeguarding confidential and highly sensitive security information. Depending on the circumstances, our CPOs may be deployed alone or as part of a larger team. The ability to work as part of a larger, cross-functional team of professionals is an essential soft skill for a close protection officer.

In many cases, close security protection officers flex far beyond their assigned duties to adapt to the constantly changing work situation and requirements of principles. This is especially true when the protection officer is also responsile for protecting the family members of the principal. Flexibility is critical. The best close protection officers weave themselves into the daily operations of the principal and their family members, ensuring safety and security with as little disruption as possible to normal patterns of life.

These plans typically include a variety of contingencies in order to ensure the principals remain safer, regardless of the changing circumstances. For example, the advance or planning stage of our executive protection team program involves mapping transit routes, understanding ingress, egress, and parking withinany locations of interest to the protected, and designing multiple contingency plans in place if any of the primary plans become non-viable or if an emergency arises.
